Bimed is a leading company in R&D studies in Turkey and around the world. Approximately 3 percent of the annual turnover is allocated for R&D studies. This makes Bimed a leading company that brings innovations to the sector.

With our international, regional and national industrial rights portfolio, we are the leader in the cable connectors industry in Turkey and at the forefront among our global competitors. We have 65 patents in various regions and countries, especially in the EU, USA, China, Japan and Turkey, to protect our inventions. Our persistent and steady progress towards increasing this number continues with our R&D activities. Bimed received the R&D center certificate in 2017, becoming Turkey's 205th R&D Center. It has an R&D center that works better day by day in both medical and technical production fields. All developments and innovations in the sectors we serve such as automotive, construction, lighting, energy, gas and petrochemicals are followed in our center and developments and improvements are provided.

As an example of our R&D work in the medical field, the Biopsy Syringe, the prototype of which we have completed, is a joint venture project in the domestic market. Easy-Cut® is a combination of aspiration and tru-cut biopsies with additional features and great advantages. It consists of two needles connected to a syringe with additional components such as a two-way valve control that prevents reverse flow. This product brings a new approach to biopsy applications.
